FDOT District Three Districtwide Miscellaneous Traffic Operations Analysis/Design Services GCA completed over 20 assignments on this traffic engineering work-order contract. Assignments included corridor operational analyses in Tallahassee, Marianna, Crestview, Panama City and Mexico Beach. GCA also developed coordinated signal timing for corridors in Tallahassee, Crestview, Niceville, Panama City and Pensacola. Several assignments involved individual intersection analyses. GCA evaluated turn lane lengths, left-turn protection needs, auxiliary lane justification and timing modifications. To accomplish this, GCA used computer programs such as HCS, SOAP, SYNCHRO, TRANSYT and Harmelink curves. Extensive analyses of access management issues and presentations to City Councils and Metropolitan Planning Commissions were also required.
